**Continually throughout the year we will have lessons on grace and courtesy (good manners), bullying, and being peaceful people.

**This is a tentative schedule.  We will move from unit to unit as the children are ready.

Kindergarten Writer’s Workshop Genre Study

1.       Response to Literature  (9 weeks)  August 23-October 22

2.  Report (7 weeks) October 26-December 17)

3.  Functional/Procedure (4 weeks)  January 3- January 28)

4.  Narrative (10 weeks) January 31-April 15

5.  Expository (4 weeks) April 18-May 13

***Rough timeline for each writing genre.  We will review all genres at the end of the year.  We will also be studying/writing Poetry when possible.
